Raid Signups
JohnSpeakSo just out of curiosity I decided to go and look at the members on the forums who can and have raided with us in the last 2 months.
(I picked this period of time so I'm not being unfair on players who have raided along with the group then went awol for a period of time.)

There are 21 members on the forums who could have signed up, postponed or said that they were not sure if they can raid or not, But only 12 people even bothered their arses to use the forums to let us know what they are doing. This is unacceptable for a bunch of adults. Lets be honest about it folks, We raid the same night every single week so there is absolutely NO EXCUSE in not letting the raid leaders know what your plans are for those days.

So yes, that's another raid down the tubes because not enough people are available and I understand that people can't make it, myself being one of them (blown up pc) but if the rest of the folks who hadn't signed up had bothered to put in even the slightest bit of effort to say if they could come or not or even if they were not sure then this situation may not have occurred.

Let me go through this one more time..

RAID SCHEDULE
Thursday: Tower Of Orthanc Part I
Friday: Draigoch
Tuesday: Tower Of Orthanc Part II

There, this is the same raid schedule every single week unless stated by either Stef, Myself or Emma on the forums. The raids are up for signups ATLEAST 2 days in advance but usually even longer in advance than that.

There is no excuse and people really need to get their act together with signing up.

And for the love of god, BE ON TIME WHEN YOU DO COME!!!!

Good rant from John.

Of course it's a game and nobody is expected to religiously turn up every time - as my example of buggering off to see a movie tonight. But please do let us know what you are doing.

The thing is that knowing in advance we've not enough players means we can cancel the event early enough for folks to arrange to do other things if they want. Then there's no disappointment.

I agree with everything John says.

The more we know the more we can work around and it saves a lot of headaches.

I know people may say a week previous "Oh I won't make it on <insert day here>" but this doesn't necessarily mean that we will remember you said this. Especially during raid night when TS is packed of people and we all talk over one another. So for the love of god log onto the forums and cancel when the raid gets put up. Make's all our lives (especially mine) easier.

Going offline for a bit to deal with the real world just incase anyone wonders why I'm not playing the new SWTOR expansion tomorrow. So please no story spoilers until I get a chance to play. Wink
